Former Hawaii kicker Kansei Matsuzawa did not hear his name called during the NFL draft, but he will still get the chance to try and kick down a door no Japanese player has ever walked through.

Matsuzawa signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent shortly after the draft on Saturday, according to Hawaii¡¯s athletic department.

Matsuzawa, also known as the ¡°Tokyo Toe,¡± was a first-team All-American last season after making his first 25 field goal attempts ¡ª which tied an FBS record ¡ª and finishing the season 27-for-29. His 27 successful attempts were the most in school history. He was also a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation¡¯s top kicker.?
