When Japan¡¯s biggest baseball stars congregate, it¡¯s a spectacle that is rarely matched in the sports world.

So once the stars ¡ª World Series champions Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Central League MVP Teruaki Sato and Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox sluggers Seiya Suzuki and Munetaka Murakami ¡ª signed up to join Samurai Japan on their quest for a World Baseball Classic repeat, I was determined to capture a wide view of the excitement.

As soon as I landed in Tokyo to shoot this year¡¯s World Baseball Classic for The Japan Times, I was immediately on the lookout for anything WBC-related around the city. From the city¡¯s skyline views, to the shinkansen platforms to the baseball field itself, the WBC envelops the city and I was thrilled to go full throttle seeking out a 360-degree view of the spectacle.
