Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds has hailed the upcoming Tokyo E-Prix, which for the first time will be held at night, as a chance to boost the motorsport¡¯s visual appeal and further spread its message of sustainability.
¡°The drivers and the teams are so excited about the Tokyo night race,¡± Dodds said at a news conference on Tuesday. ¡°Growing up watching and looking at images of Tokyo as a child, of course most of the compelling images that I remember are of Tokyo at night, of the signs and the neon lights and this visualization of it as an incredible night city.
¡°The fact that we¡¯ll be able to bring those images to half a billion people around the world through our broadcast product, I think, is very exciting for us.¡±
