First baseman Munetaka Murakami enjoyed a career day to help the Chicago White Sox salvage a game in their weekend series ?against the Houston Astros on Sunday.

With his parents throwing ?out first ?pitches on his bobblehead day, Murakami?went 3-for-5 with a ?career-high six RBIs. He drilled an opposite-field two-run homer in the first, drove in a run with a third-inning groundout, added a two-run single in Chicago¡¯s?four-run seventh and finished with a solo blast to right in the eighth.

The outburst stopped a 14-game streak without a home run ?for Murakami, who continues to make progress after missing 35 games with a strained right hamstring.
