The Nagano Prefectural Police arrested 46-year-old Keisuke Iijima on Wednesday after his ex-wife and their daughter were found dead at their home in Tomi, Nagano Prefecture.

Keisuke Iijima has hinted to investigators that he killed Hitomi Iijima, 49, and Itoha Iijima, 12.

He was arrested on suspicion of trying to kill his 14-year-old son with a knife earlier in the day. He has admitted to the allegation of attempted murder, according to police.

During the investigation, Keisuke Iijima reportedly said he had taken a toxic substance. As he was feeling ill, he was released and hospitalized.

Police plan to rearrest him after he recovers.

According to the police, Keisuke Iijima¡¯s son ran into a nearby store at around 7 a.m. Wednesday and asked for help, saying that his father had attacked him. He suffered minor hand injuries.

Following an emergency call by the store, a police officer entered the family¡¯s home and discovered the bodies of the mother and daughter.

Keisuke Iijima?was taken into custody after being found in a car in the city of Nagano.

The four were living together at the time of the incident, although Keisuke Iijima and Hitomi Iijima had been divorced.
