Director Lee Sang-il¡¯s kabuki epic "Kokuho" won big at the Japan Academy Film Prize on Friday evening, taking 10 awards including best picture and best director to cap a historic box-office run.
"Kokuho" triumphed over fellow best picture nominees ¡°Hero¡¯s Island,¡± ¡°Suzuki=Bakudan,¡± ¡°First Kiss¡± and ¡°Tokyo Taxi.¡±
While accepting the award, Lee reflected on the collaborative effort behind the film¡¯s success.
