Kuroame is an 11-year-old mix of poodle and wire fox terrier and, at just over 7 kilograms, he¡¯s bigger than a toy poodle but still perfect for city living. Kuroame came to ARK last September when his owner passed away, but being an extremely friendly fellow, he has adapted well. He simply adores people and can get somewhat demanding when he wants affection. He wants you to smother him with attention and will even bark to let you know if he¡¯s feeling ignored. Kuroame is very sprightly and loves walks, and is friendly with most other dogs. His other love is food and anything he is fed will be gone in a flash. But, despite his demands, Kuroame is a doll. He¡¯s happy, outgoing and fit. Just be sure to give him lots of love.

If you are interested in adopting, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 (English or Japanese) Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Animal Refuge Kansai (with offices in Kansai and Tokyo) is an NPO founded by U.K. native Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals.
