On Sunday, Japanese voters will issue their verdict on Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi¡¯s decision to call a snap election, just 15 months after the last Lower House election.
However, unlike the 2024 election, the Liberal Democratic Party is entering this race with confidence under Takaichi and with a new coalition partner in the Japan Innovation Party (JIP).
