Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi¡¯s remark that she will ¡°work, work, work, work and work¡± to show her determination to do her utmost as president of the Liberal Democratic Party in October was named 2025¡¯s buzzword of the year on Monday.
As Takaichi¡¯s ascent to the role of prime minister was major news for Japan in 2025, the award¡¯s organizer also picked the phrase josei shush¨ (female prime minister) as a buzzword of the year.
¡°As someone responsible for managing the entire nation, I felt I had a strong desire to work, work, work, work and work to contribute to our country and its people,¡± said Takaichi, who appeared at the award ceremony mentioning how there are also many workers across the nation working day-in and day-out to protect the livelihoods of their employees and their families.
