Execution of the ¡°Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on the Yakushima Town¡¯s Zero Carbon Island Declaration Collaborative Project¡±
Yakushima Town in Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture (Mayor: Koji Araki; hereinafter ¡°Yakushima Town¡±), Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoshifumi Taura; hereinafter ¡°Taiheiyo Cement¡±), and Yakushima Denko Co., Ltd. of the Taiheiyo Cement Group (Yakushima Town in Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Tetsuya Suemura; hereinafter ¡°Yakushima Denko¡±) have concluded the ¡°Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on the Yakushima Town¡¯s Zero Carbon Island Declaration Collaborative Project.¡±
This agreement aims to realize Yakushima Town¡¯s ¡°Zero Carbon Island Declaration¡± by promoting measures that contribute to carbon neutrality and the development of infrastructure for disaster prevention and mitigation, using the know-how and technological capabilities of the public and private sectors. Yakushima Town, Taiheiyo Cement, and Yakushima Denko will continue to work toward realizing carbon neutrality.
