Tsunan Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tsunan, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture; President: Kengo Suzuki; hereafter “Tsunan Sake Brewery”) will launch a limited “Double Crown Award-Winning Sake Set” (JPY 33,000 incl. tax), combining past and present gold-prize winners, in a run of just 50 sets.

This special paulownia-wood boxed set pairs two flagship labels that each captured two top honors in their respective brewing years: “Kiri no To Daiginjo” (Brewing Year 2012, H24BY), a Gold Prize winner at the Annual Japan Sake Awards and 1st Place (Niigata Governor’s Award) at the Echigo-ryu Brewing Technology Championship; and “Tsunan Haku Junmai Daiginjo” (Brewing Year 2025, R6BY), which achieved the same two-crown feat this year.

The award-winning “Kiri no To Daiginjo” from H24BY is a masterpiece of ginjo brewing, distinguished by a calm, elegant aroma and expansive palate. Brewed with Tsunan-grown Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 40%, it reflects meticulous craftsmanship. The R6BY “Tsunan Haku Junmai Daiginjo,” also brewed with Tsunan-grown Gohyakumangoku, offers refined ginjo aromatics and a clean, precise finish—the profile that secured its two crowns this year.

Because the set includes the long-matured 2012 award sake, quantities are extremely limited. Marking Tsunan Sake Brewery’s second double-crown achievement across two eras, this is a rare set that encapsulates the brewery’s journey in craftsmanship.
