Tsunan Sake Brewery Participates as a Drink Partner at Sustainable Food Night #26, Showcasing the Power of Fermentation through Sake
Tsunan Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture; President: Kengo Suzuki) participated as a drink partner at Sustainable Food Night #26, held in Tokyo on May 20, 2025, organized by Sustainable Food Asia Inc. At the event, Tsunan Sake Brewery highlighted the potential of fermentation in contributing to a more sustainable food culture through Japanese sake.
Themed “Innovations for FIVE WIN: Happiness Created by Rice Koji Fermentation”, the event served as a lively forum for discussion between speakers and attendees about the future of fermentation and the potential of rice. Mr. Koizumi, the CEO of ORYZAE Inc., gave a presentation, and participants enjoyed tastings of koji-derived products such as amazake and granola. The event offered a meaningful opportunity to discover new values in food.
Tsunan Sake Brewery served three types of sake at the event:
– Tsunan White: The brewery¡¯s flagship sake, which won the prestigious Niigata Governor¡¯s Award in the 2024 Brewing Year.
– GO LUNAR: A future-oriented limited-edition sake created with innovative fermentation and aging techniques.
– GO SPARKLING GOLD: A dazzling and delicate sparkling sake that showcases the power of fermentation.
President Kengo Suzuki of Tsunan Sake Brewery also attended the event and engaged in discussions on R&D and the social implementation of fermentation.
