Takeshi Niinami was quickly forced out as the chairman and CEO of Suntory Holdings after police began an investigation into a suspected shipment of illegal supplements to his home.
No crime has been proved. The police are still looking into the matter. And Niinami has not been charged with anything.
¡°If chairmen or presidents have been just questioned by the police, do they all have to resign from their positions?¡± Niinami said during a news conference last week.
